Un jour sera (One Day Will Come) is an abstract textile artwork from the From Shadow to Light collection. Inspired by the quilts of Gee’s Bend, Christine worked intuitively without a pattern, letting shapes and colors guide the creation.
The linen, chosen for its softness and versatility, features neutral shades — ivory, beige, brown, gray, and black — harmonizing to create a subtle and calming rhythm. Decorative sinuous quilting emphasizes the fluidity of the forms, inviting the eye to wander through the composition.
This unique piece is not mounted on an artist canvas, allowing it to be used as a table runner or hung vertically or horizontally. It encourages reflection on the multiple perspectives of a possible future and fosters trust in the journey of life.
