Un vague souvenir (A Faint Memory) is a unique piece of textile art created as part of the Forgotten Memories collection. Like all artworks in this series, it begins with a hand-dyed fabric selected for its natural patterns and subtle variations. The entire composition is made from a single piece of cotton, preserving the spontaneity and richness of the colors.
Layered like a quilt, the artwork consists of three layers with batting between the top and bottom fabrics. The free-motion quilting allows Christine to “draw” with the needle, adding organic, abstract lines that suggest a whisper of nature without depicting it directly.
The warm palette—shades of orange, yellow, and pink—evokes a soft, hazy memory: something that resurfaces without fully revealing itself. Mounted on artist canvas, Un vague souvenir is ready to hang and add a touch of gentle emotion to any space.
