From Shadow to Light
Et si… (What If…) is an abstract textile artwork from the From Shadow to Light collection. As One Day Will Come, Christine drew inspiration from the quilts of Gee’s Bend and worked intuitively without a pattern, letting shapes and colors guide the creation.
The linen, chosen for its flexibility and versatility, is rendered in soft shades of ivory, beige, gray, brown, red, and lilac. Straight-line quilting follows the shapes of the fabric, structuring the composition while maintaining the overall rhythm and movement. Each line invites the eye to wander and explore multiple perspectives.
This unique piece can be displayed on a wall or used as a centerpiece. It encourages curiosity, reflection, and playful exploration of possibilities.
Carefully constructed for stability, the seams are overlocked, and the fabrics are pre-washed. Et si… offers a contemplative moment, blending creativity and imagination.
