Description

From Shadow to Light

Vous êtes ici (You Are Here) is an abstract textile artwork from the From Shadow to Light collection. Like many pieces in this series, it emerged from an intuitive exploration of fabrics and colors, letting the creative gesture guide the work.

Christine selected vibrant fabrics and assembled them into a harmonious and rhythmic composition.

Layered like a quilt, the piece consists of a top fabric, batting, and a backing fabric. Directional machine quilting creates a structured rhythm, offering lines and shapes to explore. Independent of the underlying fabric forms, these lines radiating from the star enhance the reading of the artwork.

Mounted on artist canvas, Vous êtes ici is ready to hang, inviting observation, reflection, or introspection.
