Aller vers soi (Journey Within) is an abstract textile artwork from the From Shadow to Light collection. Christine worked from a single batik-dyed fabric, improvising the addition of silk fiber appliqués and machine embroidery, allowing intuition and gesture to guide each movement. The fabric’s patterns, reminiscent of fingerprints, serve as the starting point of a unique path to explore.
On this vibrant background, a fuchsia line winds through shades of violet, white, and orange, creating a journey punctuated with twists, turns, and delicate arabesques. Each element reflects the singularity and evolution of self-discovery.
Mounted on a gallery-wrapped canvas, Aller vers soi invites introspection and recognition of the treasure that lies within each of us.
